DETI PICASSO is a five-piece, ethnically Armenian band from Moscow, who describe their style as “post modern translators of ancient Christian Armenian folk music”. Their brand new album Turbo Mairik is a real breakthrough in XXIst century world music. Armenian folk tunes are combined in their music with other influence, including experimental rock, Caucasian chorals and contemporary world music.

London-based five piece comprising of Slovak singer-songwriter Gabriel Kain, Iranian violinist Raja Mohammadi, Greek cellist Elektra Miliadou, pianist Andriana Minou and human drum machine from Sussex, Simon Mooney. GABRIEL KAIN has ,as a member of glam-rock combo ‘MISS T & THE JAPANESE TOURISTS previously supported GaARY NUMAM, recorded with Gordon Raphael and enjoyed frequent air time on XFM’s John Kennedy's X-Posure show.

The focal point of this band is songwriter and lyricist Filip Topol. PSI VOJACI recently celebrated 20 years of their career. They performed for the first time in 1979 at the legendary festival in Prague “Jazz Days” (the band members were hardly over 13). The band wasn't allowed to perform officially, so it appeared only at private underground events. For several years the band's style as well as line up has been evolving.

THE SWAN BRIDE formed in 2006 as a result of several (un)fortunate events. Since then these four guys from Zilina (Slovakia) are trying hard to find their own voice in terms of musical expression. By mixing different genres from rock’n’roll, garage punk, rockabilly and surf rock to german cabaret and even classical music, they’ve earned a stable place on the developing slovak alternative scene.

The music seems to be an exhausting juxtaposition between beauty and ugliness, as songs will frequently shift between modes to create tumultuous, powerful hooks. The band is also fond of shifts between time signatures and the insertion of extra beats when shaping the mood of the song. Their lyrics are considered as deep as poetry.

The history of Vrbovski Vitazi (rock-alternative-industrial-theatre group) began in the small Slovakian village of “Vrbove” in 1982. They incorporate humour into their performances and play only on homemade instruments and their unforgettable voices will keep you singing and laughing even if you don’t really know what they are singing about!
